If there’s one word we’d use to describe 2025 at Gumlet, it’s intentional.
This year wasn’t about shipping features just to tick boxes. It was about slowing down where needed, listening more closely, and building tools that genuinely make video workflows easier for the people who rely on Gumlet every day.
Before we dive deeper, here’s a quick snapshot of what we shipped in 2025.
Highlights at a glance
- A completely redesigned Gumlet dashboard
- Live video streams that automatically turn into on-demand content
- AI-generated video chapters and structured chapter lists
- Advanced marketing tools for better engagement and collaboration
- Video processing speeds improved by up to 4×
- More integrations for a smoother workflow
A year focused on better video workflows
Over the last few years, one thing became very clear to us - ‘video workflows were getting more complicated’.
Creators were juggling live streams and replays. Teams were sharing feedback over screenshots and timestamps. Businesses wanted video to generate leads, not just views.
So in 2025, we made it our job to simplify all of that.
Live video → Archive
Live streaming has always been powerful, but its value shouldn’t disappear the moment the stream ends. This year, we introduced automatic live-to-archive, so every live session can seamlessly become on-demand content, without extra tools or manual steps.
Making Gumlet more accessible
Free tools for everyone
We believe good media tooling shouldn’t be locked behind paywalls. In 2025, we launched a set of free tools that anyone can use.
For many people, this was their first experience with Gumlet. And that mattered to us.
Recording videos, without leaving Gumlet

For teachers, instructors, and teams, hosting a video is often the second step. The first is recording it.
In 2025, we introduced native video recording inside the Gumlet dashboard, making it easy to capture screen, camera, and audio in one place. No external tools. No complicated setup.
Record, upload, and share, without breaking your flow.
New ways to monetise and engage
Channel subscriptions
As more creators and businesses build around owned audiences, subscriptions become a natural next step. With channel subscriptions, we wanted to give teams a simple, native way to create recurring relationships directly through video.
Lead capture inside videos

Videos are often where attention peaks. This year, we added native lead capture forms inside the player, helping teams turn engagement into action without stitching together multiple tools.
AI-generated chapters and chapter lists
Long videos are valuable, but only if viewers can navigate them easily. Our AI-generated chapters automatically structure videos into clear sections, improving watch time and overall experience.
Video reviews with annotations and comments
Feedback shouldn’t live in long email threads. We introduced video review tools with time-based annotations and comments, making collaboration on video content simpler for teams.
A faster, more capable platform
Video processing is now 4× faster
One of the most significant improvements this year happened quietly in the background. Video processing is now up to 4 times faster, meaning less waiting and faster publishing. Something every user feels immediately.
Multi-audio support
With multi-audio support, videos can now carry multiple language tracks, opening up better localisation and accessibility workflows for global teams.

Improving the everyday experience
A brand-new dashboard
We rolled out a completely redesigned Gumlet dashboard. Cleaner, faster, and easier to navigate. It’s one of those changes that doesn’t shout, but makes daily work noticeably smoother.
The details that add up

Throughout the year, we also shipped dozens of smaller improvements that came directly from user feedback:
- Player localization
- Chromecast support
- Faster Vimeo imports
- New Zapier integration
- Scheduled live streams
- Live stream thumbnail editing
- Enterprise SSO support
Individually, they’re small. Together, they make Gumlet feel more complete.
What 2025 really meant to us
2025 reminded us that progress doesn’t always come from big, bold moves. Sometimes it comes from doing the obvious things well, and doing them consistently.
We spent this year listening closely, fixing rough edges, and building features that solve real problems. No shortcuts. No distractions.
Looking ahead
As we head into 2026, our focus stays the same:
- Simpler video workflows
- Faster, more reliable infrastructure
- Features that earn their place by being genuinely useful
To everyone who shared feedback, reported bugs, tested features early, or trusted Gumlet with their videos - Thank you. You played a big role in shaping what we built this year.
Here’s to continuing the work.
— Team Gumlet
