Immerse Yourself in the Poetry of Kewayne Wadley's 'I Love You Mumbo Jumbo'

Originally I was born in Groton Connecticut & raised in the South. I’ve spent a lot of time here in Memphis Tennessee but also spent a lot of time in Birmingham Alabama as well as Soperton Georgia. Throughout my writing career I’ve been fortunate to have some of my work appear in a few poetry anthologies as well as a few magazines. Until recent years I started my self-publishing journey But I am still very much active in submitting pieces to different presses. A few places I’ve had some of my work appear are Collected Whispers (2006), For This Cause Writers Unite (2012), The Poetic Bond IX (2019), Porter Gulch Review: 36th Edition (2020), DRIP 05/06 double issue (2021) and Who’s Who in American Poetry (2021). Believe it or not I was crowned the 3rd Place Winner for my haiku “Full of Posies” (Dreamers Magazine, 2022) and I received an Honorable Mention for my poem “Love Sometimes” in The Poetic Bond X. I’ve also had some of my work appear alongside of some of the best writers I’ve had the pleasure of reading in the Proverse Hong Kong “Mingled Voices” series. Most recently four of my poems “Time to Leave Again” “Can you mute the TV” “Paris” and “Marshmallows by the fire” were shortlisted for publication in Willowdown Book’s latest Anthology “Looking in, Looking Out’ with the final selection taking place towards the end of July with publication due Autumn 2023 (Fingers-crossed to make the final cut.) & June 29th of this year I released my latest collection of poetry titled “Mumbo Jumbo… I Love You.” available on Amazon in both Kindle and Paperback, with two more projects in the works "ISLAND BAEcation" & "Vibing with You" that I hope to release within the next couple of months
